I was on the local junkyard and I saw a
white scort. I went to look what kind of scort
it was, and it said RS Turbo on the back. 8)
I poped the hood and I studied it, it just look
like a Xr3i engine. But it seemed like something
was missing. Maybe a turbo?
So I was hoping someone might know
of any pics on the net where I can see the
difference between the two engines.
I really hope its a RS turbo engine, because
my neighbour works there so he could
probally get me a good price on it :twisted:

dizamn, I almost went blind not only from how good tha tengine looks but how much it shines!

hahahaha, but seriously.... I wish the US Scorts could use the Euro engines and trannies, if they can then hot damn, but I thought that the engines were aligned differently in euro scorts.

hmmm..... looking at that pic as I wrote this I noticed that filter, why is it mounted vertically? does it make a difference in performance or just to show off that nifty chrome endcap?

.. and the turbo should be down under there, just to the left, so it's mounted right where it needs to be.

That engine is definitely transverse mounted (in the pic)... and I'm pretty sure that's in a chassis that we would consider a close relative of our North American 1st Gen. That motor looks like the cosworth DOHC CVH. I've met a guy who imported one of those engines through BAT and dropped it right into his 1st Gen... and killed mustangs on Friday nights.

The AWD Cosworth cars that are distantly related to the 2nd Gen in spirit, used a longitudinal engine orientation..

Well well I'll just start dreaming again.
Woohoo soon its time for
BILSPORT Performance & Custom Motor Show.
And this summer its Ruudskogen
with the 1072hp Dahlback Golf, The Ruud Racing BMW (*hurl*)
with the 800hp Cosworth, Alot of RX7 and finally this
year a Skyline, but its a R32 so its not that good.
But this summer is going to be good.
I can feel it in my beard.
