Has anyone here actually installed a performance chip and found it worth while?

Been looking around on the ol' intarweb and haven't really found anything that gives me great confidence for my money.

This is in reference to a 91 1.9L

There really aren't going to be any chips out there for the 1.9 except maybe for an auto 1.9 to give it better shift points or fuel curves for gas mileage, etc.

You can always get a performance chip burned for some dolla bills, but that gets expensive.

That's what I figured. Most of the ones I came across are all like "Add 20hp!" "Works on Ford Escorts!" but they show a dyno graph for some truck in the same breath

most chips are a cool 2F2F way of making power. Sure some work in some situations but you would be much better off putting your money into something else.
