May be the eeprom that holds the continous memory has gone its maximum read write cycles. Or for some reason when you turn off the switch, circuits that most be always hot do not...

The responsible to putting electricity to the ECU is the CCRM module under the airbox filter. Check it.

Greetings

Did you find a solution for this problem? I have a '98 (non zx2) that is showing the same symptoms. What is the pinout for the ccrm / eec connection? I have pulled out the eec and checked the plug with a voltmeter. (Yes, I disconnected the battery for a while first.) Key off, I only got power on pin 55. That is a blue wire w/ red stripe.
