I think it could be a contact on parkingbreak handle. Maybe spring broke or maybe it´s just stuck.

Fill up your brake fluid resevoir. When you accelerate its dropping too low, and the light comes on. Usually indicates its time for new pads too.

light never comes on now and my brakes are tighter and more respnsive
