I painted the Front bumper, the Rear bumper, the air dam, the side trim was painted, the spoiler, and some of the inside which wouldnt be worth taking a picture of. I painted some under the hood.

wow! extremely clean lookin egt! showroom fresh! :D
It's only an LX, but it's great if you looked at it and thought, EGT. I wish it were though! I'd kill for a few extra HP :(. but I really think this Escort was worth the 350 paid for it. The MX-6 seats make the interior look great as well, but I removed the back seat, cause it threw off the appearence of the car, so it's a two seater now :p

I don't know that my car is as nice as his, however I'd love to have such a dandy little Air intake thingy :p

Wait a second...why does the intake box say EFI on it as it routes to a carbeurator??? :?

8O All I know is that THAT intake would be PERFECT for a ram air hood setup... 8)

That is a very nice, clean 1st G. ELX. shoulda taped the bumper up when you painted your fenders there...there's a bit of over spray of white on it. not like you can really notice it though...

Very good job. You get an A in non-professionally-done-but-still-looks-extremely-good auto painting.

While i was home in kentucky this weekend i stumbled into my g/f grandparetns garage and i was just curious what was there......there was a new ford ranger.....brand new caddy and beside the caddy was an emaculant 1st gen gt.........it must have looked just like it did when it came off the lot....I couldn't belive it. I asked my g/f's grandpa about it and he said it use to belong to my g/f's mom and it was always garaged and babied. That was one nice looking car............

I would ask Grandpa if he's interested in getting rid of it. If it's in great shape, I would do what I can to get it. But that's just me. :laughing6:

ok james, a little bit on that EFI on that tube that runs to the carb. Well to be perfectly honest its electronic central fuel injection. And it is a nice set up for ram air. Also i agree with rascal. You should try and get that babied GT.

I thought the same thing, James... but that's not overspray. That's direct sunlight on very shiny black plastic... check out the other pictures of that same bumper area.
