i did an engine swap now my car is overheating got a new thermostate still overheats, getting water pump today to put in if it overheats what would the problem be ratiator, fan?? stumped help asap

check the fan temp sesor on the thermostat housing, how fast does it overheat does it over heat in city streets or while just sitting? my car had a problem similar to that but i found that my fan temp switch or whatever it is was broke its right ion the therostat housing but the car started to get hot at stoplights or driving where air wasnt really pushing thru the radiator. and check at like when the needle is halfway on the temp gauge does the fan run cause thats about the point where it kicks in
