Took the kids to the playground and had some daddy time for a photo shoot. Love the way my cars look. Ironic thing is this is the winter beater; the Scort is still my bottom b1tch!

Coming along nicely and in love with both whips!

The Alty drew blood! Managed to slice my hand trimming the lip to fit and had to get 8 stitches. All in a day of a modder... Want to thank my little men for all their help!

LOL, right car at right price. Just happens to be silver. It is one of the better colors to mask dirt. I wanted to make "my" headlights for it, but seemed it would just be a 4-door clone of the Scort. I did paint the rims that came with it graphite just to change the formula a bit and ended up putting the RS5s on it anyway.

These will be the winter wheels...

it's cool, beside i think your escort is the best one i have ever seen, clean simple and at the right height and the wheel look great on the car.

the nissan will need side skirts o look right in my opinon.

Thanks! The front lip makes the stock SE side skirts about disappear. Unfortunately, any after market skirts look like poo. When I got her, didn't even have skirts. Those on it had to be shipped in. When it comes to dropping a car, I have a simple rule of thumb: Wheel gap can not be greater than sidewall of tire.

Looking good! I like the second grill and of coarse the headlights.
Whenyou make a new set of headlights, let me know. I'd probably take the grille and lights off your hands.

I am in the middle of making a set of heads only for a Tracer. Can't continue because I had to get 8 stitches in my hand yesterday. If wanting a set for an Escort, we can talk about it. I have no extra funds for needed items to make at the moment. Always willing to make stuff for others and wanted to have product made to sell, but some things don't go fast enough. Shoot me a PM and I can go into detail, if you'd like.

    Back to the EGT!!!!

I mentioned a little while back that the EGT took a wicked road bump and messed up my alignment. The wheel was way off, it leaned on p/s about 1/2" lower, and had a lot of negative camber. Knew I had bent the strut. I pulled it today and put my spring on an stock strut just to make me feel safe and happy (money's tight). Got the ride height where is should be and the alignment is restored. One bent strut and top hat...

I think the alti looks very nice. It almost looks like a maxima with the valance pieces. I hope you fix your car soon, don't want you to switch colors or anything...

Thanks! I have started working on getting the EGT freshened up, but it has been pushed back as I have a Nova to work on. I have an off-topic post about the project, but this is my thread of BS so here are a few pics...

I did get an aluminum high rise intake that needs to be prepped. That will be painted the same silver as the fuel pump and go on before the car rolls out for spring. Just got done repairing the alternator mount on it tonight.

Picked myself up a clean and checked BP block, head and loose internals. Will have get started on this as soon as the Nova is street legal.

Got the engine and trans in, now on to lacing out the wiring harness.

The water pump and intake will be the same color silver as the fuel pump and trans to break up the orange. When it's ready to be upgraded to roller rockers, I will have to get the tall valve covers and those will be a different color as well.

You won't believe it... All of $50! Have a PGT/MX3 and ex BG buddy that got the motor back from who he sold his whole Protege too. That price couldn't be beat. The hot tanking alone is close to that; this thing is line bored and fully cleaned up. Unsure as of now if it has been bored over, need to check. Thinking about a B8 crank, knife-edged and balanced with 10.5 to 1 pistons to have for a few years while I piece together turbo goodies for my other spare block.
