Same thing here. I dropped a grand into my escort in the first month. And I still don´t care.

Over the course of the year I´ve put 2 grand in the engine (timing belt, heads and valves), 600 in the clutch, 500 in the serpantine belts, intake tube/exhaust pipe, 350 in tires (not the cars fault though), 50 bucks for taillights...one of which I broke,

300 for new headlight assemblies (I didn´t know how to de-yellow my old ones), 40 for clear corners, and a few hundred in miscelanious (I know that´s spelled wrong) stuff. I bought the car for 1904 and put well over twice that in repairs. It´s all good, cause I´m thinking about getting a Corolla S, but I still want to keep this car...I LOVE this car and this forum.

But you have ShineyBlue...you put that "sponge" air filter on it. Thats a modification to the original intake.
