thats right, some more work has been done to the ol´ 93 Escort GT. this week, i did some primering and shaved the emblems on the hatch. heres the pics. sorry about the crappy pic quality as they were taken with a webcam:

all work was done by me with a lil hard work, alot of time and lts of patience. oh and the primer job was done by using good ol´ rattle cans..thats one rattle can of primer on that hatch folks.

bought this nifty OEM grille off of Ebay this past week and am expecting it soon: 91-96 Escort GT grille...OEM style . it should be here sometime later this coming week. hope you all enjoyed this weeks edition of This Old 1993 Ford Escort GT. stay tuned...

Looking good, man. Nothing like a little DIY project to give a feeling of acomplishment!

The shaved logos look great. Did you remove the spoiler too? Is it staying off?

I ask cause I´m pondering making my 94 LX spoilerless. It has the stock one-piece. I was wondering if that would leave holes in the hatch that´d need filling.......

He´s got a big ass spoiler he´s sanding and primering too, it was off an Accord and it was green. He had a picture of it on an earlier post.

wrong answer James :-D ...hehe but nice try ;-) that hatch piece was purchased at the junkyard off of an Escort that didnt come with a factory spoiler. the spoiler i got for it thats going to go on there is a touring style that i bought off of a buddy of mine that had an Integra. we dry fitted to make sure the spoiler would fit, it did, i gave him a $100 for it and took it home :-D

2redscorts- thanks for the props bro :-D all i can say is that perfection takes time and i am taking my time doing stuff. id rather do it myself that way i know what i want done and i will feel proud of myself when its done and looks good. if you take your OEM spoiler off, its gonna leave some holes that are going to needed to be welded shut, sanded down, bondoed over, sanded down smooth and primered then painted. see above for spoiler details :-D
