hey guys! ive got a burning question. so here goes

ive got a oil pressure guage (electric) from a audi. now im wondering if somewhere on my car is a place i can tap into wires so it digitally reads oil pressure OR even oil temp becuz i have a electric oil temp guage to.
so thanks for reading and can't wait to hear some responses

You might be able to tap into the oil pressure sending unit wire, but I don't know if it will work with your gauge. You would probably need a sending unit for the Audi gauge in order for it to work. I would think the same would apply to the oil temp gauge.

It's more of a switch, only trips the oil light when there is no pressure. Thats why if you ever see this light come on you go about 15-20 seconds before the motor blows.

Yeah, I know how it works.:lol: I just named it like Ford did in the service manual. Every time I have ever had to replace one, I have always been asked if it was for a gauge or idiot light, which was why I told racethisescort89 he would probably need a sending unit for the Audi gauge. Personally, I would toss the electric gauge and use a mechanical one.

It's the only was to get the real oil pressure. And it won't leak if you do it right. I've never had an issue on the cars I did that too. I would suggest racing lines, the ones that encased in braided steel over the plastic lines instead of the basic plastic lines supplied with most cheaper oil gauges.
