about to pick up a drain nipple and need welded in so what material is the oil pan actually made of? Steel? Alumminum? Dumb i know but not around vehicle at moment.

The SOHC are aluminum to.
I just drilled and tapped mine for the pony. For the LX I put the drain on the PCV tube.

oh, sorry. 1.9. figured alluminum so im gonna grab an oil pan from junkyard this weekend because everythings half price saturday only and have a nipple welded in. 3/8" best size?
