I'm in the process of finding one of these engines. I was wondering if they had oil Jets to spray the Pistons in the same way the MX5 engines have them.

I only know about the LX pistons, not the GT pistons. With the LX the only 'jet' is a small hole in the con rod that directs some oil onto the side of the cylinder and the underside of the pistons. Its probably one reason the tech manuals says which way to install the pistons/con rods; aside from the few thousandths the wrist pins are offset.

The GT/1.8l BP engine does have the oil piston squirters. Its the same engine as the 1.8l bp in the Miata depending on the year. Newer Miata's have different heads with solid lifters.
