I have a Fram filter on my 02 right now and, knowing what I know now, I would like to replace it. The oil only has 1500 miles on it.

Does anybody know if I can remove the oil filter without draining the oil and not refinish my garage floor in what I like to call "valvoline amber"?

yes the oil filter can be replaced, no spill will occur except for the oil in the filter.

then just be sure to top it back off with new oil- about half a qt.
