You know, I'd have to get my car used to the weather up there... my car didn't like the last trip I made to Ohio, and if everything works out according to plan and i move up there, then it's going to take at least a month for my car to get used to the weather. For the first couple of weeks up there, my car is going to be slow, stock VS stock, the home team will win. Might be a good race...

most running at the track, and meets are during the night... the difference in weather here in Eastern NC in the summertime and Ohio Sumertime is about 25-30 degrees. Lows in the summertime here are often in the mid to high 80's, yours are about mid 60's to low 70's. Where I live at now is basically below sea level, which means the air is more dense here.Believe me, my car acted all sorts of wierd the last time I went up there! Acceleration stunk, clutch wouldn't grab right, car ran hotter.
All of that comes into play when racing. The tires don't grip the same, it even changes where the best time to shift is. I'm not a Pro driver by any means, (common, I drive an Escort!!!!) but When I drive anywhere, all of that goes through my head before I even push the throttle to get going. 8O

Yeah, going from North Carolina East coast to north central Ohio really buggs out the power in my car. . IDK what it is, I guess the long trip could be part of it, but I am usually there for weeks. It could be difference in Fuel mixtures up there, Like I said, IDK.

Old post, I know. Anyone still up for a meet? I'm hoping to meet a few guys other than me that enjoy their escort! Noone down here, except one, and I can't ever get him to meet up. He's in the middle of a EGT swap in his wagon, and he's trowing out CVH parts!!!! I could have used on numerous occasion.
I won't be able to race, had to replace the head gasket, again. (4 in a years span! 2 heads later) I got some sort of relay issues with my fan. It's should be building strength by the time I get up there, but don't want to over do it. I'm just looking for a cruise. maybe a tour. I know how to get to Summit Racing shop, (got lost and found that last time I was up!)

    So, NE1 in?
