It seems that everytime after it rains, or the car is unfortunately hit by sprinklers, that the engine makes sort of like a squeaking noise and it takes about a day to get rid of it. However, if it's dry out, there is no noise. Is this something I should be aware of and is there anyway I can fix this problem?

Replace your drive belt, and check the splashshields under the car.

yeah, moisture/humidity can affect the quietness (or lack thereof) of your serpentine belt. nothing to be overly concerned about. maybe some wd-40 would help fix it. check to see how worn the belt is - like major said; it might need replaced.
