Well I have no spark from the ignition coil at all.

I verified this by using my trusty timing light....

nothing is coming out of the coil...

could you please add your thoughts

is the lx/gt coil the same? I sure hope so

thanks!

First off count the wires on the coils and compare them. But that is not likely the problem. You are more likely to find your TFI module is the culprit. The TFI module in your car may or may not have been affected by the recall but If you have more then 100,000 miles you will have to spend the cash on one anyway, they cost between $30 to $80.The TFI is located on the side of your distributor body and controls the spark before the coil. They have a high rate of failure due to the location of the module in relation to the exhaust manifold or header, they get too hot and give up.I actually considered relocating mine to the firewall. Some require a specific tool for removal which most parts stores carry.Don´t try a regular socket cause if it turns out to be something else you will more then likely ruin the module bbefore you get it off.some use torx, allen bolts and even phillips head screws.good luck!
