So... since apparently everybody flakes out on buying a nice nitrous kit, i have a spare Zex wet kit w/ pressure guage, WOT switch and all that good stuff.

Temptation is getting too great.

Does the BP like nitrous? How much will it take? I'm uninterested in doing anything to prep the motor for nitrous other than running colder plugs and running 93 octane instead of taking out the 2-4* timing.

75 shot?

Anyone here have experience spraying the BP? All i've been able to find is people spraying their 1.9s.

how much do you think you could sell the nitrous setup for? the reason i ask is with the money from that you might be well on your way to a gtx setup. i'm assuming that's why most people don't do nitrous.

Hmmm.....If I end up selling my G20 and getting the new car I was looking at then I might be interested in buying the nitrous kit off of you :)

Well, considering i've been trying to sell it for less than half what i have into it for over 6 months now, i don't see that happening anytime soon, and i'm not about to dump MORE money into a turbo kit for the car my gf is going to drive. :p I have nitrous. How much can i use?

I don't want her driving a turbo car. I just want the nitrous for when i drive it and want to have fun.

$350 if you pick it up this week. I'm trying to get a Protege as my new daily.

It's a Zex wet kit with a TPS WOT switch, 10lb bottle, all brackets, lines, and a bottle pressure guage.

Yeah... that would be the "best," i certainly agree.

An SAFC would do just fine. Let's assume i'll do that, but not go with a full standalone, because that's a waste of money for this application and defeats the purpose.

How much nitrous will a healthy BP take with a proper wet setup?

a 75 - 100 shot is doable, but most likely a 55 shot on 93 octane - 75-100 shot would most likely require race fuel over 100 octane to minimize detonation.
So you say 55 shot on stock plugs, 93 octane, don't take any timing out?

If the fuel pump will hold, a 75 shot should just be colder plugs and taking 2-3 degrees of timing out away, yes?

55 shot on stock timeing is fine - 1-2 step colder plugs on any shot is a must.

75 shot - -2 degrees ign timeing and 100 octane or 93 octane and a reputeable octane booster(Lucas,etc)/ 100 shot can be used on the -2 degrees with higher then 100 octane fuel or something like E15/93 octane

without a doubt - with good management and hi octane, 150 shot could be run

no management - no more than 100 shot , retard ign., 93+ octane, colder plugs.
Perfect. Exactly what i was looking for. I only have jets up to 75 at the moment, so that'll be fine.

One more question: Will the fuel pump keep up with that? And these things don't have a stupid returnless fuel system, do they?

It's the 93 in my sig. So i guess i'm ok. 75 shot ok on stock pump? Or is that pushing it?

his system is a Zex wet - fuel and nitrous mix and are plume spayed into the intake. The fuel line is attached to the schrader valve on the fuel rail.

I agree though - he may want a HP fuel pump just for reliable pressure - a Walbro HP 255lph pump is only $100
