    Here's an article that I found about those 2 car: http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp ... e_number=1

But, I'm sad to see that the skyline really look like the 350z

What's fun with the new skyline is that:
There are conflicting reports out of Japan regarding the powerplant. One camp believes the GT-R will be powered by a Cosworth-developed twin-turbo version of the current 3.5-liter V-6, offering at least 450 horsepower. Others believe a new twin-turbo 3.2-liter V-6 will get the call.

Hope to see new pic soon!

Re: News about the new Impreza STi and the nissan Skyline Gt

    They're the same thing.

    350Z = G35 = Skyline.

G35's and Skyline's are IDENTICAL in every aspect, and the 350Z is the same exact car, but looks different. :)

Skylines/G35's look much better than 350Z's, in my opinion. I, personally, cannot stand 350Z's.

Wow, way to grammatically represent VA. :)

Of course I'm referring to the new ones. Why would we be talking about cars that haven't been produced in years?

They offer AWD, but it's designed for safety instead of performance as it was with the older Skylines. The AWD cars are actaully slower (and CONSIDERABLY heavier) than the RWD ones, and even they aren't all that quick.

They get better Traction, but in my opinion, being able to kick the rear around makes for "better" handling... It's all in the mind of the drivers. I'm kinda glad they're not all gonna be AWD.

They've uglyfied the STi, the front reminds me of a BMW Z8 now... I like the older classic look of them.

Skyline... is Nissan just gunna make everything look the same now? Just looks like a 350Z with a kit to me.

Actually, they handle worse. The AWD system's ONLY advantage is traction in bad weather. The AWD system makes the Skyline/G35 rather nose-heavy. Nissan doesn't even recomend their AWD system for the 'spirited' drivers.

umm.. They're the same exact car. Like I said earlier. Same car, different body panels. IDENTICAL to a G35.

That STi is a photoshop of a drawing designed by Subaru for a video game, that has, in the past, included 'Future Subarus' that have turned out to be the real deal.

Take that pic with a grain of salt. (except for the center grill design.. that's the future Subaru trademark).

I think they are both ugly, and should be dropped before they ruin the reputation fo the cars they are suposed to be replacing.

are you generalizing about AWD systems in general?

if so, I beg to differ sir.

if that was the case, then the current Evo would have a hard time competing with the world's exotics on a road course. It's amazing, but it has no trouble at all.

    Reference: Top Gear

The EVO turned 1:28.9 on the test track

    The Koenigsegg supercar tested 1:28.9

    The Lambo Merc tested 1:29.0

there's a laundry list of the worlds other incredible cars coming up behind the Evo... and this is the original Evo, not the MR which is like 1-2 seconds faster.

GTScort: No, we all know there are a lot of cars that kickass with AWD (VR-4 :) The cars he's talking about are probably just limited to what were originally stated in this discussion.

9escort3: If you say you can't type for sht, then maybe you should try harder ;) Punctuation goes a long way and makes your posts way easier to read.

As for the look of the cars....right.... :/
