I´m a newbue to this mb so please help me out. First things first. What gen. is my 95 ´scort GT? Second, are there any body kits/taillights available for my ´scort? Is it really hard to replace the carpet/seats? The carpet in mine was soiled by the last person to have it

. Anyone know where to get those little plastic plugs that hold the trunk to the wall? I busted 4 or 5 of them running wires and I need more now? Sorry for all the questions, but i figured why not just get them outa the way.

no real bodykits...unless you wanna mod a civic one to fit.

is the carpet so bad that you can´t shampoo it out? i know there´s quite a few products around that are specifically made for interior rehabilitation

The carpets are pretty much ruined. The person before me smoked and left a few burn marks. It also seems like they never cleaned the carpets. The I worked at KFC for almost a year so there´s the chicken grease ground in. This weekend i may try cleaning it again but it´s BAD.

ebay usually has carpet for any year scort in any color for just over a hundred bucks

You can probably get the truck wall holders at any auto parts store, or go to the junk yard and take em as u need em! As far as I know, the Escort is sittin on the same chassis and suspension as a Mazda Protege, (of the same gen.) So most of their stuff SHOULD fit with slight mods, but thats not a promise!!!

Not really. You have to custom fit eather Civic 92-95 or even better CRX front bumper. Side skirts can be from neon or civic. Rear bumper....hmmm. don´t know yet. Also there are EVO bumpers and sentra bumpers that can fit. No cleartails or euro. Some people already made custom ones. Like Skuce. I´m working on the pair of euros. But still they are custom made.

Is it really hard to replace the carpet/seats?

Really easy to replace seats. Get a good pair of seats from Mazda Presidia MX-3. Many of the people on this board have them. Carpet is easy to replace too. You can get one any color from ebay or just get one from local junk yard.

Why did my black scort come with tan interior while the neighbors tan car has black?I ´m snaggin the trunk carpet but the floor is shot, but it just ticks me off.Who designs the color schemes?Does this guy sit back and say "take the tan and black and put em in a bag and what you get you get"or what?Does any one know where I can get a $125,000 a year salary making color choices and designing special fasteners, so you have to buy special tools.I want to be famous and have a cuss word associated with my lifes work.

I don´t know if it´s the norm it just ticked me off.I wish there was more of it that was useable.It is an early first gen and the build sheet was still between the door panel and the paper insulation barrier so I know the interior panels were black.I have never seen another of any year with stock black seats and carpet.

Are you sure that Tan Escort with the black interior was actually STOCK? I mean before that other guy bought it the previous owner might have changed the color of the carpet/seats from a different escort. Ya never know
My red scort has the normal tan interior which i´d think would be cool to change to red as well (black would get too hot as my car´s AC doesn´t work). Partly cause there are cigarette burns in my passenger and back flip down seats.
