Just got signed on and checking some things out. I am wondering what kind of mods I can do to my ZX2 S/R regarding performance. I use this car as my commute and get average 33 mpg, but with a 45 mile one-way commute, more would be nice. Besides, a girl would always like to have more power!

Welcome to the hood!!!! You got a sweet car there, wish I had one I thought the ZX2 S/r was a performance scort to begin with. I personally wouldnt do a thing to that car cause it was a special edition. But thats up to you. You can alwaus do the obvious and get a cold air intake, a catback exhaust and I think i even saw a timing advance kit on ebay for that car. There might be other thngs to do but those are the easy answers right there that are not too expensive. I know that has a special intake to begin with so actually an after market might not make a big difference.

Thanks for the reply. I always thought it was pretty special myself, thanks for recognizing it. I haven´t found much for the S/R package, figured I could do the obvious (like you mentioned) but was just curious if there was anything more.

hey anytime. I looked at one a dealer had around here and i really wanted it but couldn´t get the money together. Anyways There is alot of hot items on ebay for that car. I saw clear corners, and indiglo gauges and other stuff on there that would add to the car.

I thought the s/r came with a cold air intake wings west ground effects kit and some other stuff or was that even a more limited edition i dont know i havent ever seen one around here i asked the local ford dealer one day and he said i had no clue what i was talking about
