Hey all, I´m going to be picking up a 96 Escort LX from my buddy tomarrow. It has a few problems. The speedo needle starts to bounce around at like 50mph. Anyone hear of this before? It has 80,000 miles on it... I know the drivers side tie rod is shot, I´ll probably replace that before it gets to cold out. Has some other minor problems, but nothing I can´t deal with. Anything I should know about these cars? Problems? Thanks.

find out the last time the timing belt was replaced, they like to break, mine broke twice in one month.
