I recently had a semi-new tranny (18,000 miles) put in my '97 Escort LX 2.0L SPI which significantly improved my cars accel. My only issue is now I have to really stab my gas petal as far to the floor as possible to reach that high velocity of accelleration.... This wasn't the case prior to the upgrade.
