:D Howdy, new owner of a 2001 escort sedan, 129,000 miles on the od. Had some preventive maintence done ie; new timing belt, water pump, thermostate, fuel filter, and air filter. Getting 38 MPG so far which I think is fantasic.

Have 1 very minor problem in that the light bulb seems to be burned out that lights up the auto trans selector indicators. It doesn't light up the P-R-N-1-2-D. I assume the bulb is under the console, how do you get to it, and is it a big job to change?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks jcwit

It an easy change,
First Remove the rear part of the center console by removing two screws, one on each side.
Then remove the clips that are on the front part of the center console and put the shift selector on neutral. And take it of, pulling back and up.
The bulb is under the PRNDL and it is a 194.
