I've been tossing some ideas around, and I think I might rebuild my pony to be a faster car. Here's a list of mods I want to do! Please tell me what you guys think!

1: 2.0 SPI swap with rebuilt spi, with ported heads and intake. :D

2. ZX2 S/R springs/struts

3: first gen HO header

4: 2 1/4" exhaust straight back, no muffler. 2" tip, with holes drilled in it, because they only allow a 2" exahust, but don't check anything other than the tip.

5: 3.8L throttle body

6: lightened flywheel

7: custom short shifter

8: metal bumpers to keep people from cutting down on me  , or to let off when I cut doewn on them, lol!

9: strut bars

10: suspension techniques swaybars

11: shaved 175/70R 13 sumitomo HTR200 tires on all four corners

What do you guys think? I'll be making some money this winter, and thats when I'd do it if I decide to do it. :D

Is this all on a dirt track or both dirt and tarmac?
this car would only be run on paved tracks, as it doesn't have a full cage, and dirt tracks require full cages. I'd use this car only on 1/4 mile tracks, and use my other car for bigger tracks. (There are 3 or four 1/4 mile tracks near me, so....)
Brody, as far as the 2.0 engine goes, if its in a 91-96 body, you wont get away with it, I've asked Matt before and he wants it kept in the 97+ 4dr body style, strut bars are a no no as well, you could tie the rear strut towers together via the roll cage, but not separately. 2" exhaust is biggest I would run with a n/a car, these cars can only breath and exhale so much, and with the limited things we can do to the motors, 2" is adequate. I've been racing these things for 8 years, I've done everything you can think of on these things, just my thoughts on this.

oh, ok. thanks, lol.

but yeah, I know that stuff wouldn't have been legal in the iss. I was actually thinking about running that car with those mods for farley, but I never got the money to do it, and then i sold the car.
