New Cable Modem...what the hell NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM!
Ok so I got to thinkin about it, when I play music on my computer the websites start to get really really choppy. My 6 gig HD has 3.03 gigs used up and my 450 mhz processor is a TAD bit old...5 years or so to be exact. So here´s what I did about 2.5 hours ago. I BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw Dells magazine come in the mail today so I looked through it, typed out what I wanted, called em up and said here´s what I want:
Dell 4550
~Intel Pentium 4 Processor at 2.66GHz w/ 533MHz front side Bus and 512K L2 Cache
~256MB DDR SDRAM at 333MHz
~60GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
~17" (16.0" v.i.s., .27dp) E772 Monitor
~128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9700 TX Graphics Card with TV-Out and DVI
~48x/24x/48x CD-RW Drive with Roxio´s Easy CD Creator
~Sound Blaster LIve! 5.1 Digital Sound Card
~Dell QuitKey Keyboard; Dell 2-button scroll mouse
~Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition; Wordperfect productivity pack with quicken new user edition
~6-month AOL or EarthLink membership included
~2-Year at home service; 2-Year limited warrenty
~19" (18.0" v.i.s., .24dp) M992 Monitor Upgraded to this...FOR FREE
~128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9700 pro graphics card with TV-Out and DVI
Optional Equipment, which I upgraded to.
~Upgrade from 120GB to 200GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard drive (7200 RPM)
~Upgrade from 512MB to 1GB DDR SDRAM at 333MHz
~Logitech Wireless Keyboard & Optical Mouse
All in all I just spent $1978.78 for this big, freakin KICK ASS system. It´ll take 5 days to build and when it´s shipped to my office my brother will shit his freakin pants to know that I now have a computer thats well over TWICE as fast as his is, along with about 4 times as much ram, not to mention the 200GB HD!! The Sales guy was VERY VERY helpful and if you´re thinking about a new computer, I´ll happily give you his extension. I actually just need to call him back to ask him what my monthly payments will be, because I forgot to ask.
Oh, and Harmon Kardon HK-206 Speakers and a 56K PCI Telephony Modem came with it standard but I don´t need em. :-]

I was about to tell you that you might want to think about upgrading that memory another 256mb to 512mb and that you should have opted for the 9700 Pro instead of the TX.. but then I saw that you´d already taken care of that.

I don´t have the time or know-how to build a custom computer system. I´m putting all my time, energy and money into my car....except for all the bills I´m racking up.
