its because gtp, cleared out all the extra stuff , the kit is being final mounted and test fitted, by the original makes extremem on thursday, so its being mounte dfor me. and me headlights were turning yellow, and my car in that pic had just come back from the body shop without washing.
extremem was looking for people who wanted ot have a kit made, some people like it. and u have to remember not everyone in the world thinks th a same. remember fixing up a car is a hobby, you buy what you like for your car. if you dont like how someone elses car looks give them the cash to fix it they way you want. god, most the honda people and shop owners i know have a more open mind then some people on this board.
*shrugs* I kinda like the front/back, not flamboyant at all. I'd say if I were getting a kit, it'd be for show purposes anyway, not for when I go autocrossing or highway driving. Those sideskirts are kinda pathetic though, just long thin blocks...
well i ge tyou ther, just i am used to people hating things casue they dont like it. lets say, if someone buys it i will kisk their arse. thats ricer mentality. but they wanted to get it out, they just got the finished product wich they will mount tomarow. just those pics looked like they are buying the kit from extremem, and had to spend time taking out extrmemes logo they usually plast on to the pics for copy rteason. plus dont knwo howe that pic above was so shiny, my cas was dusty as hell when the pic was taken.
sorry if i sound mean everyone, just people are so quick to hate things and have ricer thoughts ( that my opinion dosent mean its true) before the ever like anything!
It looks better than the onderground kit, I think, but still... it phases me as to why somebody would want to put that on their car. Or even an EVO kit. Drag plays a huge part when you reach higher speeds, and I'd love to just see a simple, effective airdam type bumper get put out. Something that would look nice with the other parts of the car and not stick out, but also drop lower to the ground. But nooooooo... we have to go all out and rice the living hell out of our already ungodly slow escorts and make them even slower by throwing on these absolutely blown out of proportion fiberglass bricks on our cars... hm. Well to each his own.
On a slightly more neutral note, the reason why kit companies dont make more "toned down" kits is because most people dont look for that. The demand just doesnt exist. The demand does exist for outrageous kits that make a crappy car look more agressive, though. It's all business, and I understand that, however unfortunate it may be.
they offered it, plus i am building my car for show so it dosent bother me, i will put a few more ponies behind it, depends on if i ever get pulled over in the car or not. i dont care about making the car real fast. thats why my aunt is selling me her miata in october, to make a scca car out of. plus with cali, there are more legal parts for a miata then the 95 scort. but sorry if i sound me i apolagize. they offered a sponsorship and a kit so i took it. its a chance to try and find more spomsors( especially for expensive steroe stuff i cant afford. i am actually gonna paint the car stock,
then maybee in a yea ror somethign fully shave it, and widen the car at the point to where the bottom stick right above the skirts, kinda a real slight widening. but we w iill see. i have a few things custom in find for play!
i just picked my kit up, the one in the pic on the top 2, fit is good, just the mounters mounted the front to line up with the wheel well line, but escort bumperes dont line up, so i have to bring it forward a little, beside that it fits fine, the front and rear bumper were used with 2 pony bumpers i got, and the kit was grafted on and molded from it. now its in a full primer grey mode on the kit. just now i have to paint them!
