OK, so I need all 3 of these, if anyone has all 3 for a decent price, I'll think about it, otherwise, what are the best ones, and where can I find them??? I found eibach springs, and ractive strut tower bar there, but I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations (I'd rather coils if there are any out there with NO modification needed, and more than a 1" drop whether they're springs or coils) any help would be GREATLY appreciated, and are these easy things to do by myself??? because without the strut tower bar, it would cost me $1200 with installation for just normal new struts, the eibach springs (this is Canadian, but still, that's a lot isn't it???). The quicker the help, the quicker I can do this, I am hoping to have it done b4 the Sept. 25th Ontario meet!!!

Ok...call up Chris @ CTAmotorsports ( www.CTAmotorsports.com) in Brampton

Anyways

For coilovers...get either the Weapon*R's or the Ground Controls
The Weapon*R are cheaper than the GC's...and they still ride really nice (i have them)
The GC's are around $600 CDN...so I'd recommend seeing if you can dig up a set of Weapon*R's if you can't afford the GC's

No mods needed for those guys (unless you want to be dropping more than -4")

Struts...go to a performance shop that deals with Ford Racing. Order the Strut set for the ZX2 S/R. That should run you about $300-$380 CDN for all 4 of them

Strut bar....usually about $60-$85 CDN....anything for the MX3 will work...since those bars are easier to come buy in regular performance shops

As for install...the first time will take you a while since all the bolts are going to be seized. So think about 2 struts a day if you have no power tools.
After you have done them all once...the bolt will go easily everytime after that. I can do all 4 in less than 3.5 hours now.....on my back patio...with a socket wrench. I also have taken everything apart...ummm....7 times now :p

Go buy a Spring Compressor @ Princess Auto for $20...you'll need it.

ok, they are in good shape, still on my car right now, but I have some other plans for the susp, it would be $150 American(sorry I didn't think about that before...lol) plus shipping and I have no problem shipping to Canada...and they will fit an LX or GT hatch as the susp is almost identical

I have the GC's in my car and can attest to their quality, I love them. but as for the install, I notice that Drew (Skuce) said think about 2 struts per day... I did all 4 struts in 4 hours... an they were all the stock struts from the original owner. I used only hand tools, since I don't have air tools at my house and still managed to get it done in one day, with no help. the hardest part was getting ht estruts assembled, tha tmay be what he was talking about. that took me a full day of work to complete all four, several hours a piece, and I finally had to buckle and pay a suspension shop $30 to finish putting the sleeves on the rear ones because I just didn't have enough muscle to cram the o-rings in.

The time I was refering to was way back 3 years ago for me.
My strut bolts were huge seized up from not being changed in a very long time. It was THE very 1st time and they were a total PITA to get off....huge amounts of time to get them to budge.

BUT...if you've had suspension work done within the last 2 years...chances are everything will go A LOT faster...since all the rust welds are broken
