first off I have a 3rd gen S E 4 door . Question ; what type of spoiler would look and fit good on my car ? I already tried a 2nd gen pedestal mount which would not work because the two end posts were way up in the air . Since this was only a trial fit with no holes or anything , the wing was just set in place ,there was no damage to the car . that is the style I`m most interrested in , or at least something like that . I don`t like the skateboard that they are trying to pass off as a spoiler . If I want a skateboard I`ll get a good one and tie it on . Idon`t want something outrageous , just something subtle . Any help or suggestions would be appreciated .

"If I want a skateboard I´ll get a good one and tie it on"

My buddy and I are buying a junker and ghetto ricing it. Take off the badges and replace em with Calgary Stampeder stickers and "Mustang" in whiteout. Every panel a different colour, duct tape racing stripes...
We were planning on a cardboard and tin foil spoiler but the skateboard idea is just too good to pass up. Thank you.

Well, all I gotta say is have fun with your projects guys. I guess I just don´t see why/how to put a skateboard on your car as a spoiler. Sounds like the definition of ´rice´ to me. But hey it´s your cars. go for it. Just take some pics so we can all see how it turns out.

ok. i found it. got it from the Ford Laser Forum. here we go:

hey no probs mate.... ok the 1st thing you notice is that the base of the wing its self has a curve which is greater than necissary on the lase/escourt so you have to grind it to the shape you need.

1) make a template of the curve of the hatch going in the direction of tail light to tail light

2)trace that line onto the wing & cut....

now another problem is that the Lancer boot its self is quite narrower than the laser/escourt

now you can just deal with this or do as i did & widen the base, this means that you will no longer be able 2 use the standard cross bar on the wing (the aero foil section).

Now this difers from wing to wing. but you end up choping the wing into 3 bits once again from tail light to tail light mine is 60mm in from each side & chopednow its a matter of bolting the sections you have on to the hatch & bridging the "gaps" with fibre glass.

**note** boot=hatch or trunk

The skateboard comment was as suspected a joke , no offence intended to our skateboarders . I`m glad someone recieved some inspiration from my comment . now we are reading about this terminator II wing , who makes it and what do they run $ wise ? any suggestions for ones found on other cars ,that might work ?

yes, term II is a style, not a brand. any body styling company (like wings west for instance) will be producing their version of a term II wing. not all will be EXACTLY alike, but will look very similar. just ask around various shops and price shop.
