Hey Stevie, Okay the timing belt cover is held on by by little screws. I think I used a nut driver to get mine off. The cover is actually in a three piece section. I didnt read the other post but if you actually broke your timing belt do realize your going to have to pull alot of stuff apart to re-time the gears to TDC. Changing a belt with the timing still right is a good job for a beginner, but honestly, I busted my timing belt last Dec. I´ve turbo´d my scort....and I think I´d take my belt to a shop again.

Basically you´re looking at taking apart the RF inside fender so you can get to the crank. You are going to have to get alot of stuff out of the way and stuff...its a sucky job.

g´luck

I myself have a ´95 LX as well. My timing belt broke a while back and I had to replace it myself (everyone else was charging an arm and a leg to replace it). I just followed the Haynes manual TO THE LETTER and I got it fixed without any problems at all. Note that at the time all I could really do was change my oil and do some minor brake work, so I didn´t have too much experience at all.

Good luck man.
