I´m looking to buy lowering springs for my 89 LX. Need to get some advice or recommendations as to which company produces the most reliable springs for Escorts.
I saw a kit for $320(CAN) from a company called Intrax that´ll drop the front 1.6" and the rear 1.3".
Has anyone used these before??
I´m also looking at Eibachs which I know are more reliable, and they´re also a bit more pricey.

HELP!

nukewater: There is no such thing as soft performance suspention. It´s designed to be bumpy and hard so you´ll not fly out of the race track. Strats and springs much return to original position as fast as they can. Harder you make suspention. Faster they return.

I have intrax on my car and they are nice. Stiff and bumpy of course, but still daily-drivable. I never knew they made them for 1st gens. You should also look into Suspension Techniques cuz they are usually the best deal. Don´t forget ebay also, never know what you´ll find.

Suspension Techniques springs are what is installed on my 88.5 LX running on standard Gabrielle struts. It lowered my car to a 1.5" drop all around and that is with out my sound system. The only thing I would suggest is to check your rubber bushings before and after you install the springs. My rear tie rod bushings squeak b/c they are getting old and need to be replaced. I´m trying to find some poly bushings to do this now but I have been coming up short. The springs cost me under $200.00 for all four and they work great.
