Anyone have any luck sourcing a head gasket for a 85 2.0 diesel?

If that indeed is the right parts on Rockauto, order soon, as both are "Wholesaler Closeout".
The head gasket is $5, the head kit $46, which seems like a bargain.

However I would compare the images carefully with what you have, as the Mahle and Ajusa gaskets look different.

Knowing Rock Auto there is really no way to know for sure if those photos are accurate. That being sead there is a drop down box to change from "Wholesaler Closeout" to regular inventory.

I was able to track them down in the U.K. the AJUSA 10096200 comes back to a identical match. Rock auto is out of stock of anything that looks correct so I’ll have to wait to get mine from across the pond. Going to order a few if it matches. I plan on doing a mild build down the road when I find another long block to play with. Appreciate the assistance, hard to imagine there is a group for these cars- uglier than sin but fun as hell. I need to start hoarding parts apparently

I believe the difference in part numbers for same gasket are going to be the different thickness needed for piston protrusion, might order one of each since spacers are harder to locate than the gasket. Also found a guy that claims to have the kits as well as injector and pump reseal kits so things are looking up

I sourced a complete engine gasket kit with head bolts from Australia- OEM Took forever to get here with the covid shutdowns but now I need head torque specs..... now I can’t find a repair manual that includes the Diesel engines. I had 3 of them at one time and tossed when I tossed out my wagon. Anyone able to help

Do the diesels use the disposable Torque to yield bolts?
