I drive a '92 ford escort on a 1/4 mile track. Here's my kill list (pass list)
1 honda prelude  , to many escorts to count (there are 3 faster escorts than mine, though.), 2 ford probes, 1 honda CRX SI, 4 toyota tercels, 1 nissan NX2000, 4 dodge shadows, 10+ cavaleirs, a few civics, 2 honda accords, 4 toyota corollas, a celica, 1 mr2, and more!

Right now i'm 9th in points. :D

Yeah, it's an oval track, with a quarter mile from the out side, so its a "small" quarter mile. And yeah, i really don't think it's bad considering that it was my very first year racing! In fact, I never even drove on the road before these races! I'm only 17, and got my temps a few days after my last race, ! It's a '92 pony with no mods except hollowed out converter, muffler delete, no air filter, and cut out the bottom of the air box! In fact, the motor's NEVER been apart!

a stock 92 pony ? 1st year on the track ? never been on the road before ?

i call :bs:

i raced with a 93 Escort LX and i know of PLENTY cavaliers , preludes, mustangs , crx's an even a volvo 240 that would run circles around an escort especially with an inexperienced young lad like your self behind the wheel.

7th out of 80 cars ? whats your Car number an racetrack website?

I was 5th out of 20 ( car cap for a 1/4 mi oval btw ) for 2 yrs and i was 1 of 3 escorts in the top 5 at any track in all of Ontario for the 2006/2007 seasons. look me up if you like

The name's Brody Rivest. I drive car #146 on 141 speedway's enduro division. There are 300 laps per race, with a few races a year. I know that it's hard to believe, but it's true! The website is 141speedway.com.

And to 98escortkid, it's a paved track, so i'm not worried about sucking anything into my motor.

And to silex, just wanted to let you know that the points leader for this year, Todd Hebel, car #1, drove a '94 or '95 Escort LX! He even beat an integra GSR! And while his car is modified, it still beat it.

And yes, i'm not lying about my car's mods! I do have quite a bit of camber, but everyone does!

An enduro ...... its more of a demo derby an to see who runs out of gas last.

but what ever floats your boat an you have fun with it all the power to you.

Not ours. It used to be like that a few years ago, but now most cars (75%) finish the race. Yeah, there's bumping and rubbing here and there, but i wouldn't call it a demo derby!

Update:

Beat 2 sentra SE-R's in my previous enduro, due to their mechanical difficulties. Also beat an egt, a honda crx, a neon, an escort lx, and an integra GSR, as his car couldn't corner. (The turns have hardly any banking, and he just pushed up all the time, lol!)
