I have erd gen and 1 day i honked my horn and it got stuck so it goes off when ever it wants to and i was wondering what can i do to fix that. help!!!

I'm sure it's the same as on the 2nd gen - the switch is in the steering wheel; you mash it when the blue haired old lady crosses in front of you without signalling.

It could be that your switch contact plate is bent, causing unintentional and continuous contact. You'll have to take the cover off. You'll have an airbag, so be careful. I've never taken the cover off a wheel with an airbag, so someone else will have to provide the necessary steps to take.

First... try just nailing the horn once... see if that works. If it doesn't, the easiest thing would be to just keep your window open, and whenever it goes off, just wave or give a random person the finger. Or I guess you could take the cover off and check the switch... but that's too much work for me.. I'd rather just wave to people.

you could leave the hood popped, but not open. and leave it out in the mall parkinglot. and if it stays on long enough, someone will dosconnect it for you. (happened to someone i used to work with, who ironically used to drive a "erd gen").
