That's a TWM shifter, the bushings in the shift rod are just shot and I haven't found my nyloil bushings that are in my storage unit somewhere.
I can't stand the intake manifold either, but my weekends are being used to take care of more pressing issues with the car than how that looks. Besides, I have 2 options for induction that will be replacing that manifold eventually. I have a brand new GTR intake manifold plus around 80% of the other required items needed to go turbo.
The option I'm really waiting on is this GSXR 1000 IRTB setup that I have, all that's needed for that is to pick up a stand alone.

Yes, that is a Genie header. I bought it like 4 years ago for my first EGT and never got around to installing it before scrapping that car due to rust. It's been sitting in storage ever since waiting for the day it gets some use. I ended up buying the Pacesetter that is in the engine pics as a temporary fix until I decide to rebuild the exhaust to my liking. The Pacesetter was ceramic coated and had a stainless flex pipe welded onto it so it was a bolt on affair to my existing exhaust without any fuss.
The HKS cam gears were marketed for the B6 Mazda engines, but are the same as the BP gears. I basically stole them from ebay for $100 being in the right place at the right time.
