This sucks. Some idiots rear-ended me (95 lx) while i was waiting to turn into my house. Now my liitle car wont turn on no more. His grand am was crushed from the front while my escort on had is bumper caved in. I can tell you this though, the escort sure has on fine bumper cause everything else is fine even the license plate is fine while his car is destroyed from the front. The only thing im worried about is whiplash. My right arm aches and am dreading tommorrow morning because thats when they say you feel the pain. I dont know if i should fix my car up or just a new one. I hate to let go of my scort. :(

I wouldnt lose sleep over it... escorts are a dime a dozen and certainly nothing unique. Just junk yours and get another one for a couple hundred bucks. They're everywhere.

wait! before you junk it go to teh backl of the hatch and on the passenger side on the plastic trim is a little door. behind it is the inertia fuel shutoff switch.

in the case of an accident, it shuts off power to the fuel pump. take off the little cover and flip the red botton teh other way. i cant remember if its sposed to be up or down..but pop it over the other way that it is now.

that should fix your problem...if all that happened was that it got smucked in the rear, that is the most obvious thign i can think off. right now you car should be cranking over but not starting up. once you flip that switch, it should take a few cranks to buildpressure then it will fire right up and be good as new.
