in case some of you where wondering how much the cars interior weighs.
i stripped out everything but the two front seats and the dash and lost 125 pounds. but those [email protected] seats weigh 40 pounds each.
maybee i should race siting on a milk crate.lol (the scca would love that)

I actually weighed my Scort this morning at my sister´s work. With my sound system, full tank of gas and my bottom section of back seat gone, my car weighed 2600 lbs. Damn thats heavy!! LOL

ive been wanting to weigh it on a scale but havnt yeat. its only a two door and the sticker on the door jam says like 3400 lbs, i was wandering just how true that was.

mine says 3416 lbs, but the reviews from Ford and edmunds.com says 2458 lbs. I think the door sticker takes into account for 850 lbs of passengers and 80 lbs of luggage. which still doesn´t bring out that 1000 lbs. But thats what they say.

My car resently was on lifting jack diet and loose all it´s a/c system. 30lbs at least. Internals are not that heavy. Something like 5lbs max.

siragan fold down the seats and pull back the back carpet. youl see the bracket that hold down the upper part.
the bottom part has just two little clips under the front of the seat, that you can use a screwdriver to unclip them, but i couldnt get mine to unclip, so i just pulled it up from the back and busted the clips

ive thought about taking the ac out but foggy windows are common this time of year. ive seen rally cars use defrosters like on the back hatch but i wonder will it pass inspetion like that
