they are a direct bolt in for:

    91+ escort
    90-94 protege/323

and they came in a couple different cheezy colors.

The drivers side bolted in fine for me, but I had to modify the module underneath the passenger seat because there wasn't enough clearance with the lower sitting mx3 seats. After some trimming/spacing of that module, it bolts right in.

Like jon said, there were a few different color combos, and they also came in black leather, which from what I've read are harder to find.

i JUST picked these seats up last week, got the seat rails from a junkyard, and installed the seats a few days ago. ive got the blue/green ones also. if ur a short guy, id recommend using ur stock escort seat rails cuz DAMN i sit lowww now and im 6'1 haha its sweet

oh yea bolt right in 2nd gen, no problems, just gota changeover ur seatbelts

yea, i've sat in a 2nd gen with the mx-3 seats before and they were too low for my taste extremely comfy but too low. i'm right about 6' tall and when i get mine (hopefully asap) i'm going to use the stock escort seat rails. i like the stock height (i have no sunroof). plus it gives me more room for my amps under the seats. i'm not sure they'd fit if i used the mx-3 rails.

and btw, anybody know of any one piece mx-3 seats in good shape around the vancouver/portland area?

This has been posted (by me) several times before,
Colors were (in order of most common):
    Dark blue with teal inserts
Darker blue with mult-color tweeded inserts
    Beige with light brown inserts
    Black leather

I'm 6'1" and a big guy, and these seats are just about the best seats I've been in from that era. And they bolt right in to boot.
BTW, I have a set of each of the top two available for sale but I'm in SE Ohio.

o man theyre pretty sexy but for 225 bones f that. even with the stock escort rails the mx3s still sit lower not much but enough to notice a difference. if u get ur seats from the junkyard the rails will prolly be pretty rusty anyway. mine were thats y i used teh escort rails

i mix and matched rails from like 3 or 4 diff mx3's in the junkyard :)
the driver side ones were always more rusted than the passenger, but i found some great ones

oh yeah and i found black leather mx3's in a junkyard around here, didnt get a price though, decent condition

Any idea what an MX3 seat weighs? I have thought about getting some recovered but wanted to compare with aftermarket.
