Any one around here use any MSD ingitions or coils, i here there some of the best. If so what ones should I get if I do deside to get em' on the 3rd gen 2.0 SOHC

this one works on 2nd gen and 3rd gen escorts/tracer (non gt/zx2) and this is the cheapest that you'll find on the net

He means 97 to 2003 ford escorts as 3rd generation.You get better gas mileage.If you have a turbo and you are runing bigger injectors it would benefit of having it because it would deliver the more need spark to help the more fuel you are introducing into the engine.The coil pack number from msd is msd-8241 it is used by all electronic ignition controlled cars.

No you won't get more horsepower, you'll get a cleaner burn which will give you a cleaner car and better gas mileage.

Can some one explain how a stronger spark tell's the PCM to use less fuel?

a stronger spark will burn more air, as the exhaust if going down the header and into the flex pipe the O2 sensor senses, hmm less O2 in the exhaust then it tells the computer to use less fuel. taadaa
