So I signed up for moviepass. For those of you who are into going to the movies, it's a great deal. There are some caveats, but I won't go into those here. This thread is going to be my short reviews of all the movies I see this year with my moviepass subscription.

My subscription started on 4-5-18 and should be good until 4-4-19.

First movie I saw was Black Panther. Good action flick. Supposed to give backstory for the upcoming Avengers: Civil War movie.

Second movie I saw was Blockers. I would call it American Pie with girls instead of guys.

Third movie I watched was Tomb Raider. Average action flick. I never really played the game so it didn't do much for me. Sound track sucked.

Just got out of seeing Isle of Dogs. Very weird, stylistic movie. Can't say I'd recommend.

I'll try to keep this updated with every movie I see this year. I plan on seeing a lot of movies opening weekend. Might go see Rampage tomorrow.

Just saw Rampage. Silly action movie based on an old video game. Very predictable.

Just got back from seeing Super Troopers 2. Excellent comedy. A good continuation of the first movie.

I was wondering when Stormy Daniels would come out with a movie... but then it occurred to me, she probably got a plenty already.

I can't wait to see this, the original was filmed in and around the small town where I used to live in NY.

If you liked the first one, you'll definitely like the second one.

Apparently if you sign up now for moviepass, it's only good for one movie a week, not one movie a day. I'm glad I signed up when I did!

Regardless, sounds like a great gift idea. What price range are they talk'n for an annual pass? Any additional out-of-pocket on the visit? I'm not a movie watcher but know lotsa folk who are.

No fees at all when you go to the theater.

When I signed up it was $89.99 for a year. Now it's supposedly $10 a month.

Wow. That's a 25% increase in price while decreasing potential movie visits by nearly 85%. Still though, one could potentially blow $50 on just two movie visits, let alone fifty four. I suspect this is merely a drop in the bucket among planned increases as people become more aware of the option. Thanks for sharing Pextor.

They probably figured out they're going to lose money on the original arrangement. For a frequent visitor, even the $10 a month for 1 movie a week is still a better deal than paying at the box office.

For my part, I couldn't tell you the last movie I saw in theaters - but I digress.

We normally don't go that often but this year seems to be a good year for this experiment.

We have enough movies we are actually going to see anyway that it will pay for the cost of the one year membership. All the rest of the movies are a bonus.

Just watched Overboard. It was ok. Basically a gender swapped rehash of the original.

Luckily for me I went in knowing that.

Saw Deadpool 2 yesterday. It was awesome.

Saw The Book Club today. I was the youngest person in the theater. Cute movie.
