has anyone tried making polyurethane motor mounts for a 3G? I was thinking about doing it but was wondering if anyone has had the same idea or has done it. My friend with a saturn did it on his old race car(a 97 SL2) and his new car(a 02 SL2)

wow, this is absolutly no help. No wonder there are so many stock slow escorts...
HAHAHA

Finally, somebody who is down to earth. We need people like you and me on these boards...

Um... seriously though, yes, you can make your own. I've seen a guy who made solid mounts. I'm not exactly sure how smart that is. I know that you can machine you own, and get a filler from grainger.com or some place that is this engine mount goop. That's how you make you own.

making your own out of window weld is nice til they deside to break down on you and become stock again. if you want a solid rear and front weld on a nice piece of plate steel to your factory mounts and make sure the hole is redrilled. they are great for tracion but will make the car jider at idle. just leave the side mounts stock to help combat the jiders.
