Inspired by this thread over in the 1.9L second gen section
Anybody over 200Kmiles with Orig Block and Tranny?
http://www.feoa.net/modules.php?name=Fo ... ic&t=60184

Needs one strictly for ATX since a lot of the people posting there didn't specifiy transmission type, and I assume that all the ones over 200K had manual transmissions.

I'm going to start with saying that my 1995LX, has 180,000 miles on it's original ATX.

From my reading here I only recall one ATX having more, being one that has 193,000 before it was rebuilt by denisond3 on a 1992 Escort Wagon.

I'm around 180,000 on my auto 91gt.
I got itused and I'm not 100% sure if it's been fixed at one point or not, but I do think it's been pulled out of the car at one point in it's life for some reason.

I'd guess that you don't have the original transmission in your car. Why else would anyone pull an automatic? My general observations is that there things usually don't last anywhere near 180K. On my 1985GT I had my ATX rebuilt at 80,000 miles.

My dad has a '94, I think it is getting really clsoe to 200K. If I don't forget next time I talk to him on the phone I'll ask him how many miles it has. It is an automatic.
