Okay, I am wondering what fun or serious mods I can do to my LX without buying expensive parts that depend on the 1.9 L engine (because of the second part of my question): I would like to swap the current engine with an Escort GT, Probe, or Probe GT engine...what, if I can find one of these, will need to be replaced....I know this is a detailed question with a detailed response and will greatly appreciate any response that you can give me. Thanks again.

And a PS to the above, I JUST came in from attempting to remove the silencer tube to the air box on my 95 LX, I´m not sure if it is different in some way from other models, but there is a tube with curves around in two directions at the bottom, one way up and into the area behind my driver side fender, and the other into a much larger black structure made of the same material of the tube coming down from the air box. It SEAMS to all be one peice, but I could be mistaken. Could someone help me out with this when you post a response to the above quiestion. Thanks
Really if you´re looking for a better performance gain, I wou;d check to see if http://www.ctamotorsports.com/ makes the intake for your car, then work on the exuast.
