Hi guys new to the forum and first post
just wondered if anyone could throw some direction to this problem, have a Lreg 1993 Escort 1.6 16v dohc, and the engine has started to missfire, have replaced the plugs and new coil pack but no differance, have noticed healthy spark on cyl 1 and 4 and nothing on 2 and 3, have switched leads around into 1-4 and proved they all spark so not a lead problem, not sure were to go with it now as can not get 2-3 cylinders to spark any ideas appreciated.

coil pack on a 1.6L? UK model?

short to ground between 2 and 3, broken wire in the pack harness - probe it for continuity, look for vac leaks, especially with the intake manifold.... 2 and 3 are the hottest cylinders so it doesnt take much to blow out the flame front.
