The dust shields I'm definitely interested in. Cleaning the wheels is definitely a PITA.

My door switches work, but the boot is chewed up on 2 of them. I was hoping to find something that looked better than what I had.

Same with the driver's side sun visor. It works, but has some tears. Was hoping to find something better looking in gray. If it has a lighted mirror I'm willing to wire it.

My seats are not bad, but the foam is disintegrating on the driver's seat. I keep finding foam dust under it. If I knew how to take the seat apart I could probably fix it.

I'd love to ask about a set of rims in better condition than mine, but it's probably not in my budget.

Thanks for checking on the fenders.

Visors & switches I could mail pretty reasonable... I'll try to get picts & prices to you shortly. Please PM me your postal code.
I have a couple sets of rims- some with tires- that I'd make you a deal on if you drove here to look at stuff. Shipping rims gets cost prohibitive for most... Same goes for the seats. I have a ton of 3rd gen gray seats (cheap), but shipping would be ridiculous!
Let me know if you'd consider a trip this way sometime... :)

Sorry guys- been dropping the ball a lot lately- seems there is too much on my plate.
If any of you who have made parts inquiries are still looking for parts- please try me again. I'll try harder to get out to the car & grab parts. Parts that are already removed & in my possession should be pretty quick- parts that are on the car give me a week or two- and the squeaking wheel will get the grease (pester me)... I am not online very often- so PM me & I can get you my cell #- texting me should improve response time. Thanks

Would you happen to have anything for a ZX2, especially a rear driver's side control arm? And yes, I realize that it's been a year & a half.

As I recall- the ZX2's had the same control arms as the rest of the 3rd gen Escort/Tracers- thus I should have several. I even recall going through the trouble of separating a rear suspension for a buyer once that ended up falling through, but that has been years ago (and before my wife decided she'd prefer to be an ex-wife & managed to scatter my parts collection before I was finally granted access to the hose/garage)... If you were local- I'd let you pick which parts car you wanted them off of & let you tear into it, but I see that you are from SD- so that doesn't seem reasonable... I suspect that you will be able to locate the parts nearer you before I can find them here, but if you don't mind waiting a while- I would be glad to help you. I will keep my eyes open for the separated parts. If I get my wagon put back together in the next week or two- I may be able to make some time to pull parts nearer the end of the month. If the weather continues to delay my cars completion- it will take me longer to track down parts.

And just so that we are clear- are you looking for the welded tubular part, or the stamped steel part?

We wound up having a local mechanic pound the old one back into shape. It seems to be working fine, but if it doesn't last I'll be sure to come back here.

    Cheers

Don't throw out any good 2nd gen automatic transmission cooler lines!
I would think that someone here would buy them.

    The only 2 2nd gen's that I had were both 5 speeds...
I've got all sorts of parts that need to quit taking up room. Trouble is that when my wife divorced me- she mixed stuff up & only drug out what she felt like- when she felt like it & the parts got stored in 3 different locations as I was able to collect them. I feel so useless when people ask me to find something. I know that I have the parts, but often times I spend hours looking for them & do not turn up with them. It is probably easiest if I just haul everything to the dump/scrap yards, but that would take time that I can't seem to make... I really need to empty the garage and storage sheds at my rental place & decide what is worth keeping- tossing the rest. Then I could do the same with the storage unit & haul the "keep" stuff to the garage & quit blowing $50/month on storage. Maybe if I can ever get my wagon back on the road (and the weather will stay dry a couple days in a row)- I can tackle those projects. I would love for the parts to get used- rather than ending up crushed/buried or melted down...

If the visors and under engine splash shields are nice someone will want them. Possibly the same for an OE PCV valve and hose.

Sorry that this is old news here, but do you have any 3rd gen wagon manual transmissions left ?

I'd be interested in the splashshield that goes under the A/C compressor. Also I saw automatic trans earlier in this thread. Do you have any good ones? And, would you accept Paypal?

Hello Guys- I do have 2 3rd gen 5 speeds laying around... One has 127K, one has 225K & there is one still installed in my purple wagon- think it was close to 200K- don't recall at the moment. As for Autos- I have one laying loose w/ 177K and one still in a car w/ about 122K. I never drove the 177K car- so I am not certain of it's condition, but the car had been maintained pretty meticulously. I may have some splash shields around somewhere- I will try & remember to look around this weekend. Yes- I do take paypal. Shipping transmissions isn't cheap though! Prices range from $60 to $250 on the transmissions I have. If you do the removal of currently installed transmissions- they will be reasonably priced... Same goes for most any other part that is still on a parts car.

Thanks. I was considering a road trip so there wouldn't be shipping, but with 177k on it, it's a lot more than the mileage I have now (114k).

    I see...
Well- if you decide to make the trip- you can have that trans for $50. If you want to pull the 122ish one out of the car- I'd let it go for $75. If you want/need other parts- I'll make you some decent deals...
Sorry guys- I didn't find splash shields the 2 places I looked this weekend. There May still be some in the storage unit or the attic of the garage. Remind me later this week & I'll try to check those locations.

If you can't find any splash guards I have a few escorts in the yard with them intact. PM me and we can arrange for the transaction.

Do you have a good catalytic converter for a 3rd gen sedan?

I apologize for the delay, John! Yes, if you still have that catalytic converter, I'd definitely be interested!
