I'm toying with the idea of a Eaton45 or something similar....
my brother in law makes pulleys and metal parts for a living so fabricating a bracket and a pulley wouldn't really be an issue...i dunno..just playing with the idea at the moment...

it would be awfully sweet though....
would it be at all possible to run a turbo and a supercharger simultaneously :?: :?:

it would be dumb and ineffective. and it would probably cost you both power and weight gain

they both serve the same purpose. except a turbo is a much better option on a 4 cylinder because its free power. a supercharger requires power to make power.

A turbo in't free power, it gets its power from backpressure and heat. To generate 10 PSI of boost in the intake, you need 20-30 PSI of backpressure in the exhaust. It just so happens, however, that 20 PSI of exhaust backpressure coupled with heat, is more effcient than a crank pulley, which is why turbochargers are better. They are more efficient because the thermodynamic cycle of a turbine helps offset the needed pressure spike in the exhaust. If it where the same temperature as the intake air, you would need hundreds of pounds of backpressure to generate 10 psi of boost. This of course would make a turbo very inefficient. Because of the thermodynamic cycle, a turbo is more efficient than a supercharger. Unless of course, your tlaking about a lysholm style screw compressor, upon which, it takes a damn good turbo to beat the efficiency of that supercharger. Lysholm is the only company that makes them, and they are swedish, which makes them expensive, unless you happen to live in sweden, like, the engineers that desinged the Konigsegg, upon which, they are pretty resonable when you're trying to get 805 HP out of a 6.0L. :D

i guess, look for my dirty-as-all-hell white EGT, i'll be DJ-ing with my laptop, as i bought an FM transmittor so i can play all my like 600 something songs on my stereo. plus i bought like a $60 power inverter for a whopping $18 (i should have just bent that store over the couch and.... well, you know the rest)
