well they are pretty slow but thats cause they are down tuned, the same motor in an SVT countor has 200bhp linked up to a getrag 5-speed. the duratech 2.5 also comes built to accept a whipple charger" standard in Europe". my cousin has one in GB, but of course they also have cosworth 450bhp 4x4´s and xr4x4ti turbos´. doesen´t it suck that we get the bottom of the barrel.

My girlfriend owns a 1999 cougar and it is a pretty nice car. Hers has had trouble with the speakers cutting out but other than that no problems at all. The only thing i dont like about it is sitting in the back seat, it is very uncomfortable and there is no head room at all. All in all good car.

2 guys here at work have the Cougar with the 6 banger. Both say the car is slow to start and only really makes good power when it´s wound up. Wonder if that´s because of the intake manifold being so long and convoluted. Guess we´ll never know since Ford saw fit to kill the car.

Since no one is telling you about the car you asked about the cougar & tbird were prety good cars if you want performance go with turbo coupe tbird or xr7 cougar but if you want just transportation any of the model lines would do. You could get turbo 4s v6s or the 5 litre with tbi or the 5.0 ho hope that helps
