Ok, so I just got this bright idea. I was driving around today and noticed Pullman has like 4 or 5 body shops (an overabundance for such a small town) It hit me that instead of waiting for someone to start developing replica cossie styling for our american escorts, that I should take the initiative. So, my questions are as follows:

Does anyone have any experience with asking a body shop to do stuff like this?

Would it be difficult to get them to agree to doing something like this?

How many of you would be willing to put forth the money?

What would I need to present to the shop? Dimensions? Pictures? Detailed drawings of the styling I (and I know most of you) want?

This would be very kickass if I could pull it off, but I would need support from the lot of you as well :)

P.S. I am NOT making any promises :)

Your best bet will be to find a custom / fabracating shop. Production body shops normally do not mess with too many 1 off projects, but you might get lucky. We did a complete fiberglass install on a civic a couple of months ago @ the production shop that I work for.. It was my shops first and last fast and the furious car. With only mounting and fitting a poorly built kit it was not a cost effective project, shame cuse I had a blast building it. Good luck, the shops in my area are kinda slow now so you might have a better shot. Just for a price idea I think my shop charged the owner like 1800$ above the colision damage price.
