I can get a new master cylinder for 38$ or a rebuild kit for 16$. The Hayne's manual says the whole cylinder must be replaced if anything else except the piston and cup are damaged. What gives? Why would the spring, cup, spacer, piston and snap ring be available if it couldn't be rebuilt? Has anyone rebuilt their's? I know Hayne's isn't the end all of Escort knowledge, that's why I ask here. Thanks.
