Just make sure the years are close enough, 88.5-90 models have smaller crank journals than earlier years. Otherwise the stuff will swap right over. The LX and GT blocks are identical; pretty much everything aside from the pistons is the same for the bottom end. It'll definitely give you some power; bigger cam, bigger ports, better flowing intake (possibly...I don't know the flow facts on that), and much larger valves. If possible, you can swap in a 2.0 SPI intake valve to my knowledge. The exhaust size is as large as they originally came for the CVH, and it really doesn't need any larger...just up the intake size and this engine really responds imo.
