Ohhhhhhhh....ok i´m not big on the Mercury brand of the Escorts. the only Mercury i know of are the Cougars and the new Marauders.

how can you not be a fan of the merc versions? they are the same except for badges!?

Well, it´s sort of the same reason i don´t like Cavaliers/Sunfires. Ford uses Mercury as a sort of "copycat" brand where they just use the same cars/chassis/engine, etc. change a few badges and some minor details, and then name the car a different name. I dunno. If it was like the Honda/Acura situation where Honda and Acura are the same company but make the cars different by more than a few badges, then i´d be all over the Mercury brand. But I must say the new Marauder is pretty sweet lookin.
